The invention provides methods and systems for controlling a communication device using a web-based unified communication platform, enabling users to synchronize multiple devices and seamlessly transition between them during a live conversation. For example, with this new patent, Fuze users can easily alternate between their desktop phone and smartphone, in real time, without needing to end a conversation.
