Eventbrite Appoints April Underwood to Board of Directors

Eventbrite, a global self-service ticketing, marketing, and experience technology platform, today announced the election of April Underwood to the company’s Board of Directors. She is joining the board as a Class I Director and brings with her an extensive and impressive background in technology. Currently, Underwood is the Co-founder of #ANGELS, a woman owned and operated angel-investing collective focused on helping grow technology startups.

Underwood has held various executive and leadership roles at technology companies including Chief Product Officer at Slack Technologies Inc. and Director of Product at Twitter, in addition to product and engineering roles at Google, Travelocity and Intel. Most recently, she was Chief Executive Officer of Nearby, a platform of hyperlocal marketplaces, which she founded. Underwood has served on the Board of Directors of Zillow Group since February 2017 and TPB Acquisition Corp. since February 2021. She holds a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems and Business Honors from The University of Texas at Austin, and an M.B.A. from The University of California at Berkeley (Haas).
