Certification Demonstrates IAS’s Ongoing Commitment to the Highest Standards of Governance and Responsible Artificial Intelligence
Integral Ad Science (IAS), a global leader in media quality intelligence, announced it received annual recertification for ISO/IEC 42001:2023. IAS expanded the scope of this certification to include its use of artificial intelligence (AI) in its Quality Attention and Ad Fraud solutions, and remains the only digital ad verification provider with accredited ISO 42001 certification. The latest certification further demonstrates to customers that IAS’s use of AI is safe, responsible and transparent and will remain innovative within a structured framework.
“…our expanded certification reflects our high standards for responsible and ethical AI across our measurement products and services,” said Lisa Utzschneider, CEO of IAS.
ISO/IEC 42001 is an international standard for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an Artificial Intelligence Management System within organizations. It is the world’s first international standard on Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS). The certification audit was performed by Schellman, an accredited ISO 42001 certification body.

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) certification is globally recognized as a symbol of safety, quality and reliability. The ISO/IEC 42001 standards include requirements for a broad range of topics relevant to the AIMS, including organizational strategy and AI governance, AI risk management, data privacy, responsible AI system development and deployment practices, and data quality monitoring, as well as human rights, fairness and other ethical considerations, environmental impact, and human oversight over AI systems.
In addition to ISO 42001 certification, IAS was an early recipient of TrustArc’s Responsible AI certification and was the first company to receive Ethical AI certification from The Alliance for Audited Media. No other company in the world holds these combined certifications.
IAS utilizes AI to bring new insights to its customers and partners by analyzing an unparalleled dataset, capturing and processing more than 280 billion transactions every day, across every impression, in real-time. In December 2025, IAS announced IAS Agent, a new AI-powered assistant backed by 15+ years of proprietary IAS insights and built on the principle of “explainable AI,” offering complete transparency into every recommendation.
