“Over the past year, Bluecore has guided retailers through obstacles the industry never imagined and fast-tracked them for success in a heightened digital-first environment”

Entrepreneur Of The Year is one of the preeminent competitive award programs for entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies. The nominees are evaluated based on six criteria: entrepreneurial leadership; talent management; degree of difficulty; financial performance; societal impact and building a values-based company; and originality, innovation and future plans. Since its launch, the program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities in over 60 countries around the world.

“Over the past year, Bluecore has guided retailers through obstacles the industry never imagined and fast-tracked them for success in a heightened digital-first environment,” said Fayez Mohamood, CEO of Bluecore. “Considering that retail is a barometer for the health of the larger economy, we are honored to be recognized by Ernst & Young for our part in its revival and growth.”

In 2013, Fayez co-founded Bluecore after working in the loyalty space where he saw that retailers were missing out on the opportunity to leverage their live online product catalogs to directly influence their customer communications and offers. He believed that if retailers could identify shoppers at the individual level and understand each of their interactions with specific products, they could create more valuable interactions that would get shoppers to purchase again and again. This original philosophy has become core to a new type of retail marketing platform that automates acutely personalized communications at the individual level and matches shoppers with products they love.

Today, Bluecore works with 400+ retail brands, including Express, Bliss, Tommy Hilfiger and Bass Pro Shops, to ensure they dominate the permanent shift to digital. Bluecore’s AI-driven technology allows retailers to launch completely personalized multi-channel campaigns at scale by curating products, content, and offers, specific to each shopper’s individual preferences. Supported by its success-based business model, the company drives significant increases in revenue for retailers and brands by connecting first-party shopper data, onsite behavioral data and most uniquely, retailers’ live product catalogues, and automating decisions around the recommendations that will convert individual shoppers. The company currently manages nearly 500 million shopper IDs and a cumulative product catalog second only to Amazon.

Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards, to be announced in November at the Strategic Growth Forum®, one of the nation’s most prestigious gatherings of high-growth, market-leading companies. The Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner will then move on to compete for the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Award in June 2022.
