The announcement reveals new partnerships to ingest data

Oort, the leader in Identity Threat Detection and Response, today announced the launch of its technology ecosystem. With this announcement, Oort shows how it creates an overlay for complex identity ecosystems in order to eliminate blind spots and secure identities from account takeover.

As a turnkey platform, Oort provides immediate value to security teams by giving them full visibility and control on their identity attack surface across multiple sources. “Our customers love how easy it is to integrate their existing technologies into Oort, and integrate Oort back into their security and messaging tools,” said Nicolas Dard, VP of Product at Oort. “Our close relationship with technology partners enables us to bring rich, deep insights that our customers cannot get anywhere else.”

Oort surfaces data on identities, wherever they may live. It is built on deep API and event streaming integrations with a range of identity providers, including Okta, Microsoft Azure AD, Google Workspace, Duo, and Auth0. This is combined with information from human resources information systems (HRIS) as well as critical business applications like Slack and Salesforce.

While some identity tools take years to show value, Oort’s integrations are live within minutes and show instant value. Harry Hoffman, CISO at Northeastern University said “One of the quick advantages of Oort is that setting up took 60 or 90 minutes. We connected to Azure AD, Multi Factor Authentication System, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Teams.”

The outcome to security teams? Quicker response to identity threats. Myke Lyons, former CISO of Collibra said “we get a lot of benefit from Oort bringing data together from multiple sources to really shorten the time to do what we need to do during an investigation.”

It’s about more than data sources, however. In this announcement, Oort releases new ways for customers to consume their unique insights. Dard says “IAM, IT, Security, and Help Desk teams all have a role to play in identity security. We must find a way to effectively integrate into their existing processes and workflows. I’m delighted to announce new integrations, such as the ability to send Oort insights into Azure Sentinel.”
