ServiceRocket Deepens Appfire Relationship with Sale of App Portfolio

ServiceRocket, a global leader in tech-enabled solutions specialized on the Atlassian platform, announced that Appfire, an enterprise collaboration software company that enables teams to plan and deliver their best work, has acquired a large portion of ServiceRocket’s Atlassian app portfolio as part of an enhanced partnership that leverages ServiceRocket’s solution services expertise.

As an Atlassian Enterprise Platinum Solution Partner, ServiceRocket’s worldwide delivery capabilities align with Appfire’s growing portfolio of applications to enhance the value companies receive from their technology investments. The two companies have a long and vital history of supporting each other at the executive level.

“When I met ServiceRocket founder and CEO Rob Castaneda 15+ years ago, we were competitors who shared similar values for our companies – and we knew we were part of something big,” said Randall Ward, co-founder and CEO of Appfire. “It was the very early days of the Atlassian ecosystem, and we took the time to help nurture that community while supporting one another as we built our own brands. That long-term collaboration and alliance has been a driving force in helping both companies grow and scale.”

“We’ve had the pleasure of working side by side with Appfire from the earliest days,” says CEO Rob Castaneda. “Today’s announcement demonstrates the vitality of our relationship and the positive impact that our products and services have on our customers’ growth. It also affirms the strength of the Atlassian ecosystem and our role in it.”

As one of Atlassian’s earliest partners and an early app creator, “ServiceRocket helped establish the Atlassian ecosystem,” continues Castaneda. “We developed some of the platform’s initial apps and commercialized add-ons to Jira and Confluence that enhance and expand the capabilities of these tools to help customers improve collaboration and productivity.”

ServiceRocket will continue its long-standing relationship with Appfire as a leading channel partner for both the newly acquired products and the rest of the Appfire portfolio. This acquisition supports ServiceRocket’s strategic focus as an Atlassian Specialized Partner in ITSM and Cloud for Atlassian customers.

“We’re excited to acknowledge partners solving more complex customer challenges while advancing Atlassian’s mission,” says Cameron Deatsch, Chief Revenue Officer at Atlassian. “ServiceRocket’s focus on Atlassian Cloud migration, Agile at Scale and ITSM solutions will drive more customer value while reducing complexity.”

“Innovation, in service to our partners and customers, is written in our DNA,” notes Peter Marquez, CCO, ServiceRocket. “Our unique educational offerings for Atlassian products will now be extended to support Appfire applications, such as Jira Misc Workflow Extensions (JMWE). We’re excited to leverage Appfire products as we extend the value companies get from the Atlassian platform, especially with Jira Service Management for DevOps, IT and Marketing.”

“Whether it’s Cloud migrations, digital transformations or customer-focus solutions, we have their back,” adds Castaneda. “Our relationship with Appfire supports this mission and builds on our shared momentum.”
