Showpad Recognized in 2019 Gartner Market Guide for Sales Engagement Platforms

Leading research and advisory firm Gartner names Showpad as a Representative Vendor

Showpad, the leading sales enablement solution, has been included among 14 total vendors in the August 2019 Gartner “Market Guide for Sales Engagement Platforms.”

According to the report, “sales engagement platforms have emerged as a viable option for organizations aiming to implement a holistic sales enablement program. Sales engagement vendors’ platforms largely focus on one or more of the three core areas of sales enablement functionality — content, training and coaching — by using open APIs and partnerships to support the larger engagement platform.”

Gartner also predicts the market will continue to grow, stating that “by 2021, 15% of all spending on sales technology will be allocated to sales enablement technology, up from 7% in 2017.”

“To us, this Market Guide is a validation of our vision for a complete sales enablement solution that aligns sales and marketing to drive revenue faster. We believe Gartner’s recognition of this market shows the momentum of the sales enablement space and the value our technology provides to companies of any size, in any industry,” says Louis Jonckheere, co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Showpad. “In our view, our inclusion in the Market Guide validates the work we’re doing to bring a best-in-class solution to engage buyers with the right content, skills, and conversations. We’ll continue to shape the future of the sales enablement industry today and for years to come.”

Gartner defines Sales Engagement Platforms as “sales tools that unite disparate sales enablement functions to enable sellers and other customer-facing resources to engage with buyers and provide better customer experiences, with a view to improving sales results.” This Market Guide analyzes seven use cases for each selected vendor, including customer-facing selling, internal knowledge transfer, seller onboarding, continuous education, partner relationship management/channel enablement and inside sales (SDR) selling.

This news comes on the heels of massive growth for Showpad. In June 2019, Showpad secured $70 million in Series D funding led by Dawn Capital and Insight Partners. Earlier this year, Showpad also introduced its unified sales enablement platform, combining content, coaching, and training, following its acquisition of Learncore. The company experiences 90% year-over-year growth, with plans to add more than 200 jobs to its global workforce by the end of the year, alongside aggressive platform expansion and innovation.
