Stringr Unveils Premium Livestreaming Functionality

Stringr, the premium video marketplace for custom, high-quality, video content, announced the launch of its livestreaming function, giving customers the ability to request live video content nationwide. In addition to having access to Stringr’s comprehensive video library and on-request recorded content, users will now be able to leverage Stringr’s network of 75K+ professional and amateur videographers for live footage of events.

Through Stringr’s platform, customers are now able to request live coverage of an event. This request is then fulfilled by one of the “Stringrs” (videographers) in the area. As the livestream comes in, with a click of a button, customers can simulcast the stream to their own platforms, and social channels, while also monetizing the content.

“Viewers are looking for updates as they occur in the world, and networks and journalists must be able to produce news as it’s happening,” said Lindsay Stewart, CEO and Co-Founder of Stringr. “Broadcasters and publishers have traditionally been constrained in their live coverage by resources. They needed the staff to shoot the stream, that staff had to be in the correct place at the correct time, and the often expensive equipment had to be in their hands. Stringr’s Live offering provides near limitless live coverage – no matter how many events, not matter how far away with Stringr you can have a live feed ready to go to air, placed on your website, or published to social all without leaving your desk.
