Shorts International Appoints Jeff Allen as President of ShortsTV (U.S.) and TVCortos

Shorts International has appointed industry veteran Jeff Allen as president of ShortsTV (U.S.), the first and only 24/7 linear and OTT HD TV channel dedicated to short form video entertainment, and its Latin American channel TVCortos

Reporting directly to Shorts International Chief Executive Carter Pilcher within Shorts Entertainment Networks, the U.S. subsidiary of Shorts International, Allen will oversee and manage all U.S. and Latin American operations including content acquisitions, sales and growth, programming, marketing and more. 

“As Shorts International continues to evolve and grow globally, I couldn’t think of a better fit than Jeff to spearhead the ShortsTV and TVCortos efforts,” said Shorts International Chief Executive Carter Pilcher. “Jeff brings a vast amount of experience across many industry verticals, from both an operational and creative standpoint, and will play a critical role on our team.”

Based in Los Angeles, Allen comes to ShortsTV with over a decade of experience at the intersection of entertainment and technology. Most recently, he was vice president of operations at Hallmark Labs, LLC, the subsidiary of Hallmark Cards, Inc., that enables their digital, direct-to-consumer (DTC) businesses including Hallmark Movies Now, Hallmark eCards, and Hallmark Shoebox. At Hallmark Labs, LLC, Allen served as the head of marketing during a period of rapid subscriber growth, and roll-out across numerous streaming platforms, then transitioned to operations and business Intelligence where he led his teams in the effective management of day-to-day business operations and a cloud-based data warehousing and analytics platform.

Prior to Hallmark Labs, LLC, Allen began his career wearing many hats and serving the many needs of a successful short form SVOD startup called SpiritClips that was acquired by Hallmark in 2012.
