Real-time risk management solution helps Australian on-road safety teams proactively identify high-risk driver behaviour and focus attention where it matters most
Powerfleet, a global leader in AIoT software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions for mobile asset management, today announced the Australian launch of SafeGuard, an AI-powered risk intelligence solution designed to help operators identify, prioritise and address high-risk on-road driver behaviour in real time.
Every driver needs to get home safely. SafeGuard gives Australian safety teams the clarity to act before it’s too late.
Available as an add-on to Powerfleet’s VisionAI video solution and fully integrated within the Unity platform, SafeGuard uses artificial intelligence to continuously assess driver risk across a fleet, helping safety teams focus on the events and behaviours most likely to lead to incidents.

The launch comes as Australian operators face increasing pressure to strengthen safety performance and demonstrate proactive risk management under evolving Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
Moving on-road safety from reactive to proactive
“Operators have access to more safety data than ever before, but knowing where to focus remains a significant challenge,” said Brodie von Berg, Managing Director, Powerfleet APAC.
“SafeGuard helps safety teams augment AI video safety by identifying the highest-risk drivers and behaviours in real time, enabling earlier intervention, more effective coaching and ultimately safer outcomes across the fleet.”

Embedded within the Unity platform, SafeGuard combines real-time risk monitoring, AI-powered real-time driving risk analysis, intelligent video event review and live intervention capabilities to give safety managers greater visibility and control over fleet risk.
Operators using SafeGuard have reported up to 83% reduction in on-road risk, 95% fewer false positive video event alerts, and an 80% reduction in video review time, helping safety teams improve operational efficiency while reducing risk.
