Organizations that process or control consumer information must comply with current and pending privacy laws and regulations like CCPA and GDPR. “By 2023, 65% of the world’s population will have its personal information covered under modern privacy regulations, up from 10% today,” according to Gartner Predicts for the Future of Privacy 2020. While these new regulations all share the common goal of preserving the individual’s right to data privacy, they broadly differ in their legal requirements for risk assessments, breach response, and compliance reporting.

“Organizations around the world are struggling with sprawling data repositories, skyrocketing subject rights request volumes, and competing compliance jurisdictions,” said Tom Palomaki, Chief Customer Officer at Spirion. “With regulations on the rise, proactive protection is more critical than ever. Our commitment to simplify and automate the full lifecycle of sensitive personal data protection helps customers better manage data governance; lessen financial, regulatory, and reputational risk; and reduce the operational costs of staying in full compliance.”

Spirion Compliance and Spirion Analytics are fully integrated with the company’s award-winning SaaS Data Privacy Manager platform, which provides Privacy-Grade™ data discovery and classification results to both data subjects and privacy operations. Today’s new product releases strengthen the technical capabilities of Data Privacy Manager by extending its compliance and analytics functionality to:

Comply With Subject Rights Requests (SRR) Through Automated Workflows

Spirion Compliance takes discovery further by correlating personal and sensitive personal data to an individual based on identity-centric associations derived using artificial intelligence (AI). The solution supports the privacy request/response workflow—from DSAR intake to producing a data report for the requesting individual—making it easier and far less costly for organizations to respond, manage, and monitor the status of regulated requests through dashboards and reports.

Understand Emerging Threats Through User and Entity Behavioral Analytics (UEBA) and Visualization
Spirion Analytics quickly surfaces suspicious activity and exposes potential threats by identifying behavioral trends and patterns within the depths of data repository files and folders to guard against data breaches. This product builds on data discovered by Data Privacy Manager, allowing organizations to focus not just on where personal and sensitive personal data exists, but on what is being done with the data, and by whom, using the MITRE ATT&CK framework of adversary tactics and techniques to escalate potentially malicious activity. The solution embeds Microsoft’s industry-standard Power Bl engine for advanced reports and compelling dashboard visuals to provide both system-level overviews and in-depth drill-downs into personal data scan results.
