Tal Zohar Joins Travelperk as Chief Marketing Officer

Zohar joins after decade leading Wix.com marketing and data analytics functions through period of hyper-growth

Will help drive TravelPerk efforts to scale and build a category leading travel management solution

Hire follows TravelPerk’s acquisition of Albatross and expansion of risk management offering

TravelPerk, the fastest growing global travel management platform, has appointed Tal Zohar to the position of Chief Marketing Officer to help the company become the leading brand in the business travel management space.

Tal Zohar joins TravelPerk after 10 years in a series of senior roles at Wix.com including Online Marketing Director and Vice President of Business Analytics and Data Science. Zohar played a pivotal role in scaling the company’s marketing budget and revenues by a factor of 100 in 5 years, propelling Wix.com to become a $13bn category leader in website creation platforms.

During his time with Wix.com, Zohar was responsible for major marketing efforts, including leading Wix’s biggest online video campaign, designed to support the company’s first Super Bowl commercial. Zohar has also built and managed multiple teams, including the global online acquisitions team, and a 150 strong team of data experts responsible for implementing a data driven decision-making culture in the company and incorporating ML & AI models in its product and business model.

Zohar also brings extensive entrepreneurial experience through founding and managing three different Tel Aviv bars and a successful private college during his student years.

Zohar will bring his experience of scaling online marketing strategies, data-driven decision making, and leadership into his new position, helping to continue driving TravelPerk’s hyper-growth journey. His priorities will include strengthening the marketing function; reaching new markets, industries and customers and building on TravelPerk’s position as a leader in the business travel management space.

The hire follows the announcement earlier this month of TravelPerk’s first ever acquisition – of early-stage startup Albatross, whose API for structured information on travel restrictions and local guidelines will be integrated into TravelPerk’s existing travel risk management offering.

Tal Zohar, Chief Marketing Officer of TravelPerk says:

I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to TravelPerk, and helping to accelerate our growth and our brand.”

Avi Meir, CEO and co-founder of TravelPerk, said:
