Kiite, a provider of sales enablement software, today announced successful completion of their 2020 SOC 2 Type 2 examination. Having completed a SOC 2 Type 1 examination in 2019, the SOC 2 Type 2 examination was the next step in their compliance strategy.
“There are many types of sales software, with varying degrees of security requirements,” explained Kelly Winter, Vice President of Marketing for Kiite. “While it’s common for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software providers to pursue security certifications, we are a leader in providing a secure sales enablement and knowledge sharing platform.”

The achievement reflects Kiite’s commitments to data security.
“Kiite’s sales enablement platform and integrations with corporate systems such as Slack, Salesforce.com, and Confluence gives us access to some of the most sensitive information our customers use to run their business, such as sales and marketing strategies, competitive intelligence, and information about their customers,” noted Donna Litt, Chief Operating Officer at Kiite. “We felt strongly that we had an obligation to take a security-first approach to our software, to give our customers confidence that their information is safe with us.”
The examination also gives Kiite a competitive edge in their industry.
“We have had prospects and customers include security reviews and compliance checklists as part of their buying process,” Litt shared. “Because of SOC 2, we were able to provide more accurate and complete information related to our Information Security Management System (ISMS) than some other vendors.”

Kiite was audited against the AICPA Trust Services Criteria for Security, Availability, and Confidentiality. The SOC 2 Type 2 examination provided assurance regarding the effectiveness of the company’s controls over a period of time.
The effort was completed by the professional and independent third-party audit firm, 360 Advanced, Inc.
“They were startup-friendly and understood our space,” noted Litt. “As a SAAS technology business, it’s important to work with vendors who are aligned to our values and who go out of their way to understand our specific needs.”
