System1 Test Your Ad Platform Adds Audio Testing to Predict and Improve the Effectiveness of Radio and Online Audio Advertising

Advertisers can now predict the short- and long-term commercial impact of audio ads running on radio and streaming services including podcasts and music streaming apps, in addition to testing video and static creative with Test Your Ad. The platform measures viewers’ and listeners’ emotional responses to creative and assigns ads a Star Rating, from 1 to 5.9-Stars, based on their ability to drive market share growth.

The launch comes at a time when podcast listening and advertising revenues are growing – global podcast ad spend reached $2.6 billion in 2022, according to WARC. According to The Infinite Dial, America’s longest-running survey of digital media consumer behavior, 62% of Americans have listened to a podcast in their lifetime, with 38% listening on a monthly basis and 26% listening weekly. Additionally, Nielsen’s report “Audio Today 2022: How America Listens” finds that radio reaches more Americans every month (93% of the U.S. population) than any other linear or digital platform. When combined, streaming music, podcasting and satellite radio reach three in five Americans monthly.

An optional Guidance add-on provides insights from System1’s team of experts on how to enhance the creative effectiveness of the ad.
