Acquia Appoints Matt Kaplan to Lead Product Team

 Matt Kaplan Joins Acquia from LogMeIn

Digital experience company Acquia has announced the appointment of Matt Kaplan as its new senior vice president of product, who is responsible for advancing Acquia’s portfolio of platform applications that power world-class digital experiences. Matt Kaplan joins Acquia from LogMeIn, where he served as Chief Product Officer and general manager of emerging products.

Dries added, “His experience at both venture-backed SaaS startups and high-growth public companies will be a tremendous asset as we expand our platform capabilities to support digital marketers and content authors.”

Acquia is adding to its investment in platform product development and growing its global team of developers and engineers. The company is increasing the capacity of its R&D team for new innovation by 90 percent this year. The Acquia Experience Platform is a suite of technologies for easily building digital experiences at scale, across the web, mobile sites, native applications, voice assistants and more. By connecting the applications that power customer experiences, Acquia frees marketers and digital teams to deliver personalized, data-driven experiences across every channel and touchpoint.

“Acquia is creating a powerful, open platform that helps global brands deliver amazing customer experiences without the need for heavy-duty programming. That’s a really hard problem to solve, which is why I jumped at the chance to get involved,” Matt Kaplan said.

As LogMeIn’s chief product officer, Matt Kaplan led a team of more than 450 people globally and oversaw product strategy and management, design, and engineering for the company’s identity and access management, collaboration, and customer engagement product lines. During his six-year tenure, LogMeIn’s revenue grew more than 800 percent and, following its merger with Citrix’s GoTo business, Matt Kaplan was promoted to GM of emerging products.

Prior to LogMeIn, Kaplan was integral to driving online product and customer solutions for KnowledgeVision, PermissionTV, AGENCY.COM, and The AdValue Network.
