Salesforce Picks Amazon to Deliver Enterprise CRM Across Mainland China

Continuing its pursuit of global expansion, Salesforce has announced a strategic partnership with multinational innovation leader, Alibaba. From today, Alibaba will exclusively deliver Salesforce Enterprise CRM product suite in China. The distribution would cover mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

Alibaba owned more than 40% of the total Cloud business in China. Globally, Alibaba is ranked fourth, and second in the APAC region.

In their official announcement, Salesforce wrote —

“Together, Salesforce and Alibaba will bring Salesforce’s #1 CRM platform — including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and Salesforce Platform — to customers in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Alibaba’s advanced, secure infrastructure and knowledge of these markets will empower our global customers with a solution that meets local business needs.”

Earlier this week, Salesforce had announced the launch of Salesforce Essentials for SMBs. Salesforce Essentials is an all-in-one CRM solution built specifically for small businesses. Salesforce Essentials empowers every small business to tap into the power of Salesforce with apps for sales and service that are easy to set up, use and maintain. Now small businesses can easily manage and engage with customers on their preferred channels including Facebook Messenger, Instagram and YouTube—all while having a single view of the customer.

Salesforce ranks among the Top 250 MarTech RADAR 2019 Companies. Salesforce continues to lead the pack of CRM makers and Marketing Cloud providers, continuously innovating new MarTech products and acquiring new partners and tech builders. Earlier this year, Salesforce announced a $15.7 billion deal to acquire Big Data Analytics company, Tableau. The leading CRM provider also announced expansion of Pardot Marketing Automation and introduction of Blockchain components to CRM.

With Tableau and Einstein together, Salesforce will deliver the most intelligent and intuitive analytics and visualization platform for every department and every user at any company. Tableau will make both Customer 360 and Salesforce’s analytics capabilities stronger than ever, and enable the company to reach a much broader set of customers and users.

It remains to be seen if the benefits of Tableau’s acquisition would be passed to Chinese market.
